In November 2021 Apex were approached by the Albanian Government to enter an international design competition for the Auto-Moto Park. The brief called for a multi-model motorsport facility, suitable for all ages and interests located on the banks of the river Shkumbin in the city of Elbasan.

Our design included a 3.5km FIA Grade II/ FIM Grade B circuit with rallycross links along with an international drag strip, FIA karting circuit, low speed dirty offroad and a multi functional paddock space.

The facility also included a large pedestrian promenade that provided much needed outdoor recreational space to the city. This promenade assisted in defining our architectural strategy for the site, creating a natural amphitheatre for the track with grandstands nestled into the newly formed landscaped bunds.

The facility would provide up to 8 concurrent motorsport activities along with additional revenue streams from the conference and museum spaces on site. Providing a year round destination for all.
